Sax + Tuba + Drum set + ANOTHER Drum set? What's not to love, here? I inhaled the Sons Of Kemet discography after hearing Shabaka Hutchings sit in with the Art Ensemble of Chicago, where he blew the house away with this one solo. This band is a great vehicle for his playing: tuba and double-drums provide ample energy but don't occupy the same sonic space, letting him shine. "Play Mass" feels like an obvious choice, but when it hits that refrain it re-wires my brain a bit.

When I listen to this, fav track Dunja, it allows my imagination to expand, wandering through scenes of an imaginary film. Love the violin. Exciting and ambient at the same time.
